New Product Enhancements Announced for IBC Showcase 2020
Campbell, California — September 1, 2020 — As a continual evolution of its product family, Video Clarity Inc., provider of market-leading audio and video quality measurement and analysis systems, announces ground breaking new capabilities for its RTM, ClearView, and Venue Player solutions.
New AV1 Decoder for RTM Manager Enhances File Based QA
The RTM Manager is a browser based control and test solution that routinely applies new decoding features to follow customer needs and provide a unique full-reference video and audio quality assurance routine. Today’s introduction is a new AV1 decoder for RTM file tests which provide fast, automated assessment of video and audio quality for unlimited numbers of VOD files being readied for on-premise or Cloud based services.
With the RTM Manager, SVOD and VOD delivery services get full reference quality assurance for their encoded files in a batch. Just a few files or full libraries of content can be qualified for video and audio quality, lip sync, and loudness compliance automatically.

New ClearView 9.4 Supports Ultra High Definition ST 2110 Workflows
Video Clarity systems have provided ST 2110 network interfaces for several years and today introduce new support for 4K and UHD formats for ClearView full reference quality testing. These new capabilities are being provided first in the new ClearView 9.4 which applies to specific new ClearView system models or on-premise ClearView Software applied to a minimum specification of server or VM using Mellanox ConnectX-5 or higher network adapters.
Applying high speed network interface to full reference test systems allows the user to perform a well known technique for testing encoder processing quality whether it is applying JPEG XS, HEVC, AV1, or another emerging codec. The user may easily capture UHD video, then feed the original source content chosen for testing into the network while, at the same time, recording the content that has been encoded and decoded as a fully uncompressed sequence to test for quality.
Applications include testing and comparing separate vendor codec implementations and testing a varying set of content and bit rates through a content delivery network in order to find the best quality for the required device and picture format.

Compressed File Playback Support Added To All Venue Player Models
Video Clarity’s Venue Player product line is most famous for its ability to record and playback multiple uncompressed resolutions and frame rates at the same time reliably for quality assessment labs and high quality display environments. Venue Player systems now provide added functionality to playback from native compressed files via simple drag-n-drop or programmed selective playback functions.
This new introduction brings customers an additional convenience factor for assessing video since, at times, a compressed file playback function is necessary for quality lab visual assessments and test routines. It also opens the door to new user requirements in playback of high bit rate mezzanine files or MPEG files for content in high quality transmission and display applications.
