Campbell, California — March 3, 2020 — Video Clarity Inc., provider of market-leading audio and video quality measurement and analysis systems, today announced new capabilities for its ClearView line of video quality analyzers and software. The new ClearView version 9.3 has new elements that make the application easier to use than previous versions.

Today’s new version of the ClearView application provides an ability to calculate its quality metrics much faster. In previous versions the application was limited by the play speed of the output as to how fast the quality metric was able to calculate. This new capability allows each quality metric applied in ClearView to be calculated up to three times as fast as the real-time playback speed.

In addition to the enhanced metric calculation speed, the new 9.3 version provides several enhancements which include an extension to the test sequence name character limit, an ability to save all configuration settings as profiles for later recall, and new frame counter enhancements.

The frame counter enhancements are particularly important improvement that allows users to set the frame counter either to the start of a sequence as it is or be edited to any frame number easily in an open window. Another part of this feature is the ability to set the overall sequence playback frame count to only include the aligned frames on which the tested video is based. This provides an exact match of the playback count versus the frame count in the test log by applying a same start and end playback range of tested frame numbers so that seeking to random locations in the aligned sequences matches the test log frame count.
